Mr. Sherry
Colossians 3:15 “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”
I am thankful everyday for the opportunities God has given me in my life. I also feel a genuine call to serve the Lord. It is great to teach at a place like Mount Rainier where I have the opportunity to help students grow not only academically but also spiritually. At Mount Rainier Lutheran High School, I teach New Testament, United States History, American Government, Geography, and Northwest History. I also get the opportunity to coach basketball at Mount Rainier as the head JV and assistant Varsity coach.
This is my second year teaching at Mount Rainier Lutheran High School. My wife Patrice and I moved to the Pacific Northwest in July of 2008 from Saginaw, Michigan. We have enjoyed Tacoma and many of the outdoor activities that it has to offer. I graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin with degrees in education and social studies. My wife and I met at a Lutheran school and have always valued Lutheran education highly. We recently welcomed our first child, Landon, on 01-01-10! When I am not teaching I like to watch Michigan football games, run, and spend time with my family. The Lord has blessed me and my family in many ways and I am thankful to serve him.
