Mount Rainier Lutheran High is enrolling now for the 2010-2011 school year.

New students seeking admission for the 2010-2011 school year should call the school office for an application packet and to schedule a placement test and interview.  Re-enrollment forms for returning students are mailed in early January.  Forms for new and returning students received after January 30, 2010 will be processed on a space-available basis.

Steps for Admission

Step 1 - Application: Each applicant must complete the application and forward it with a non-refundable application fee to the school office.

Step 2 - Placement Examination: Each applicant must take the placement exam. It is similar in format to most standardized tests. Its purpose is to help provide appropriate student placement.

Step 3 -  Interview: The applicant and parent(s) must attend the interview usually within one week of testing. This meeting provides an opportunity to link school philosophy and requirements with student abilities and family goals.

Step 4 - Reference Forms: Each applicant must obtain recommendation forms from any two (2) of the following: math teacher, English teacher, counselor, Director of Youth Ministries, or Pastor.

Step 5 -Student Records: The applicant's parents must provide copies of student transcripts, test scores, and medical records. To help facilitate this process Mount Rainier will provide a Release of Records Request Form.

Step 6 - Notification and Tuition Assistance: Once Steps 1 - 5 have been completed, notification regarding acceptance will be made within two (2) weeks.  Acceptance package will include an application for tuition assistance upon request.
