The Junior Classical League is a nationwide student organization dedicated to the preservation and study of the classical tradition.  The Mount Rainier Lutheran High chapter, founded in 2007, has sent delegates to regional and national conventions and sponsored contests and community service projects.  MRLH has also hosted the Eastern and South-Central Washington Certamen preliminaries.  During the 2010 national convention, Mount Rainier students successfully defended their title as the reigning state champions in the catapult contest!  In spring of 2010, MRLH was also named the winner of the nationwide Certamen Machine Giveaway Program.  Thank you, NJCL "home office!"
