Service Learning

The goal of service learning is such that students who graduate from MRLH will be highly motivated to play an active role in society by identifying and using their God-given talents in service to the world, beginning in the immediate community and reaching beyond. Students will experience service opportunities through a planned curriculum which deepens their understanding of how service is a reflection of our God who first served us in the person of Jesus Christ. We are created to love and care for others, because our Creator first loves and cares for us.

Culminating Project

All graduates in the state of Washington must complete a culminating project, which has been proposed, planned, executed, and presented by the student. While there are few limits to the type of culminating project a student undertakes, all projects must be approved by the administration in advance.

MRLH is fully accredited through National Lutheran School Accreditation and the Northwest Accreditation Commission and is fully approved by the Washington State Board of Education.  MRLH maintains membership in both the Washington Federation of Independent Schools and the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association.
MRLH is supported by both LCMS and ELCA congregations and is affiliated with Concordia Lutheran School, Tacoma.
We strive to serve the entire local community and welcome students from all backgrounds.
